CHANGE THE STORY
The series “Change The Story” developed during the Covid Lockdown in 2020 when the world turned on its head. Truths, beliefs, and stories were in constant flux. The heightened awareness of various realities was (and still is) shifting and reflecting around us. During that time, in my studio, I took previously made work and turned them on their heads; tore them up and collaged them into new ideas and compositions. I thought about restructuring and revisioning the systemic beliefs that guide our actions and decisions. This quote by Albert Einstein stood by me; “We can’t solve problems using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”
My hope is that we reinvigorate our love of ourselves, of our planet, of our interconnectedness, and of our better angels.

We would love to see you at the opening reception for this exhibition on Thursday, June 1, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm, at Shelburne Vineyard’s Tasting Room, right off route 7 in Shelburne. Come welcome in the summer with some nice wine, a beautiful view, and a celebration of art!
In an effort to honor the connection between community, human stories, and nourishment, a portion of the sales will be donated to World Central Kitchen. “When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking and serving meals to people in need.” We can think of no better place to host this event than at Shelburne Vineyard; a place that honors agriculture, sharing a glass of wine and giving back to community.
